There were lots of fireworks around last night, but I was not in the mood and didn't bother to watch any. There will be some organised activities on Saturday. there always are around these parts.

I agree, and many cities have completed this transition successfully....wakefield though, being smaller and with many of it's attractions out in the countryside seems to be struggling. Time could see it through though :) more…

Still a few niggles here and there but generally speaking i'm not too bad.
I am trying to get out for a couple of hours each day while the weather is still relatively mild but on returning home, for the rest of the day I just veg out.

No wasn't dumped, we did get to see the 'bright lights'...as seemed the case then!
We wandered around Soho for hours and ended up sitting in a rather dubious greasy all night cafe before hitching back home at first light ;)
