The gladiola petals are opening...from the bottom up as they do!

The garden is about as far as I have ventured these past three weeks although I have had some lovely visitors.
My friend Jane whose house I have stayed at in Andalucia came up to see me from Brighton.
We are like chalk and cheese and have our differences but I have known her since she was fourteen years old so we had a lot to catch up on as she has not long been back from Spain and had plenty to tell me

Wish my glads looked like that...

As long as you're getting some fresh air, only going as far as the garden is fine. Just think, this time next year you'll be gadding about all over the place.

Beautiful flowers - puts my garden to shame. I have been out there all morning (well since the Archers omnibus finished!), trying to rescue some semblance of order following yet more torrential rain :-(

Maybe next year eh?

  Most of our flowers this year are perrienials as I didn't have the heart to plant out bedding plants..as you say "Maybe next year eh"
  
  Jane and myself go back a long way when I was practically homeless on the streets of London and she was living in a children's home!!......we married well!! (joke)

What a beautiful colour - is it a particular variety? It would go really well in my 'hot' colour scheme.

Glad your friend came to visit - must have given you a real lift. And if you can't have differences with old friends, who can you have them with!

  I've no idea what variety they are as we randomly bought a couple of packets of bulbs from the supermarket a few years ago. Another one has opened up now and is even a stronger red colour
