What a lovely day it has been today, the sun has been shining most of the day.
I had an early start as I had an appointment in Leeds at 8.45 so Lulu(eldest daughter) picked us up and dropped me and t'old man off as she works in Leeds which was very convenient.
Formalities were over with by ten o'clock so I decided to amble around the shops. I really like Leeds and although it is commutable distance from where I live I don't go very often at all, in fact I think I have only been in the centre once since I met Mira at the indian restaurant in mid March.
My that seems such a long time ago now although it isn't at all.

I digress...T'old man went off to buy a new electric shower as ours had broken so I took the opportunity of enjoying a bit of time alone in the sunshine. He has been so supportive lately but we were never a couple who are constantly 'joined at the hip' so it felt kind of normal somehow.
I mooched around the shops and bought a new night dress and a lightweight coat which will be perfect to wear when I go to Berlin, it matches my new shoes too;) then I sat on a bench and ate a sandwich before gravitating over to where I could hear a sort of howling noise.
Most visitors to Leeds will be familiar with this old busker and Bess the singing dog as they are resident buskers in Leeds.
I stood and enjoyed their rendition of 'Something stupid' took a photo and tossed a coin in the guitar case.

I recorded a little video but the sound is so bad it's not worth posting but here's a link to a video someone else took previously

It was an ordinary day doing simple things but a day when one was glad to be alive
..then I got home, phoned my sis and arranged an outing to Wath folk festival tomorrow to see one of my favourite young female artists Rosie Doonan....Lovely :)
