It was nice to receive the lovely comments in a recent post from Michael St Mark who is one of my earliest blog friends, We both joined blog.co.uk in June three years ago when it was just a fledging web-site and we remarked how many people we had seen come and go over the last three years. There are now only five people on my friends list who I recall from 2005 and these are MSM, Lee954, Puredawn, Deadhead (Bloke) and Menhir.
Of course there are many bloggers who are not on my friends list who are founder members but they are dwindling it seems.
I had never blogged before so I guess the reason I am still here is because I was comfortable here from the beginning so I didn't ever see any reason to leave,
MSM has a lot to answer for as it was he who inspired me to try and take random photos, an art he is most accomplished at but one that I simply have fun with as I only have my cheap little digi camera for equipment.

I discovered this orchid in the powder room of the ladies toilets in the Novotel hotel in Nimes, France last month.

I've just realised that Adamantix and Mr Flighty joined 'bcuk' in late 2005 but didn't realise this instantly as we didn't become blog friends 'til over a year later....also Kiki2u, although I thought she had left blogland as she hadn't posted for a long while.
