Is it true that the french word 'Queue' literally translates as 'tail'
-

as in.."get to the back of my 'tail'!"

Exactly - it's a word used very carefully!

Spelling could be different Isadora, pronunciation close.
I'm amazed there's a bird in sight from which to create a caption. The French shoot and eat anything with wings, whatever size they might be and especially in the South.
Caption " Crumbs! What Crumbs? I see no crumbs..."
or
" Hop dippity, hop dippity, boom what you do to me"-

This was a cheeky town bird, chancing his luck...the shop assistant was in the back room as the shop was empty, whilst he had hopped in through the open door quite fearlessly

We were in Edinburgh when such a thing happened, in that case the bird, a large pigeon, flew into the window display - the bird was not daft, lots of food in there. The assistants became frantic (hysterical is just a wee bit too strong a description) and hubby came to the rescue and cupped the body of the bird, deftly removing it from the display and taking it outside to go on its wingιd way.

Amazing what the presence of a bird in a confined place can invoke.
We used to get sparrows fly into the supermarket from the warehouse until someone realised that pvc strip doors would keep them out!

Or
"one good heave, and I'll be able to haul this cabinet out of the door before anyone notices!"-

...then he'd have enough for the feeding of the five thousand others who were waiting around the corner (probably up in the trees)

'ain't they go no greeters round 'ere?'
