As I enter the beginning of my 60th year on this earth 88|

It's birthday time again for me
Another year's gone by,
I'm older than I used to be
The thought could make me cry.

For getting older is not such fun
As it was some way right back,
It’s agony now if I have to run,
And a pleasure to lie in the sack.

Yes getting older is quite a bore,
But not to get old is worse.
So "Bring it on!" I shout once more,
And to heck with our ride in the hearse!

as you know i've never been much of a poem writer before, so I nicked the idea from a poem I saw and adapted it (quite a lot) to suit my circumstance :)

It started with breakfast in bed..so that was nice, then I went to one of those Leeds playhouse matinee shows I am so fond of with my sisters, which was also nice :yes:

Two sisters , one is 3 years older and the other is 7 years younger.
One lives about 40 miles from the other and I live midway inbetween.
We usually only meet up about once a month so today was a good opportunity.

The musical play we saw was Noel Coward's 'Brief Encounter', I didn't think it was my sort of thing but it's peculiar as I thoroughly enjoyed it, mainly due to the cast of the 'Kneehigh Theatre' group who are extremely talented. saw two more bare bottoms again!! These modern productions seem to like flashing male bottoms lately :oops:
Thought i'd mention that here then I won't have to blog about it;) :))
