Hi everybody, I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather back home as I hear it is almost as good as it is here.
Iīve come into Valladolid city again and while my friends have been working in the shop I have spent an enjoyable hour in the Parque Grande sat amongst the ducks, red squirrels and the beautiful peacocks. I have seen an albino peacock for the first time ever(apart from pics) but he fled when I tried to snap him..iīll try to seek him out again.
While I was sitting in the sun minding my own business I received a text message from Lulu who is holidaying in Tenby this week.
The message went like this:-
"Can you believe that we had dinner in an indian rest. with prince William last night! We couldnīt believe it when we saw him sat there with his matesin Tenby. Best thing was that I asked to be moved away from his party not realising who he was. The waiter couldnīt believe that I didnīt want to sit next to the prince
Thereīs only me that would snub the future king.
When we left people had begun to congregate outside and asked if he really was in there".
I went on to ask her if Kate was with him... her reply was:_
No, all male, 10 of them. Apparently he goes every year and last year he brought harry. Was strange: he was texting on his phoneall normal and informal. No press there very hush hush. xx
I returned to the florist shop in Valladolidīs main street and relayed these text messages to my spanish friends. After politely listening to me they smiled and said.."Oh Yes, very nice. In Spain we see the King in the street and in restaurants all the time.. We shrug our shoulders and say "There goes the king"
I guess thatīs the difference between them and us eh.
Right, time to get back for lunch, then iīll be sunbathing for an hour before returning for the official start of the fiestas. There will be hundreds and hundreds of revellers in the streets and iīm going to try to take some good photos
Hasta luego.
Here a couple of photos I took of the revellers last year...to give you the flavour of it![]()
