After watching the undercover report on supermarket fresh food departments, i'm afraid nothing surprised me. A department is only as good as the staff it employs, hence if the supervisors are cutting corners then most of the others will follow suit. I remember, ten years ago one of our managers in the deli department got the sack when a whistle blower shopped her for relabelling and redating cooked rice.
I hasten to add that none of the practices shown in the tv programme would take place at my supermarket :roll:
