and no I don't follow football.
ps. I have got a bad leg and standing on it for long periods in the heat isn't doing it any good

I'm working at home today, what with the new job I felt less inclined to travel 2 hours on the train to my stop gap job. I've logged on to my work messanger account so they think I'm online and now I'm off to do some gardening (re: sitting on the grass in the sun with a nice cold drink)

Yes, one has to weigh up the pros and the cons.
In over 15 years of working at the supermarket i've only phoned in sick twice (I only work part-time though) but now i'm nearly due my OAP my priorities have changed.
It is true about my leg, although I could have struggled on but seeing as my daughter is exhibiting her final years work at Uni tonight when I should be working, duty calls (and not of the employment kind)!
It's a good job I haven't told anyone at work about my blog!!
but just in case any one from work does read this....i'm making it all up, lol.

Hope your Daughters final year exhibition goes well. Thats something that you can't miss out on.
On a duller note, the sunny periods have been few and far between here today. There is an annoying mist creeping of the Firth of Forth thats blocking the sun which I'm sure is burning away happily on other places-

We had a lovely time at the exhibition and it was great to see her and her fellow students buzzing around at what is the culmination of their university years.
Shame about the mist and Yes, the sun is burning away nicely here -
